      Find Your Pearl

The most important thing to know about me is that I love bubbles so when Mionetto and Freixenet recently merged, all I could think was yay!

From the Spanish Cavas to Gloria Ferrer, the first sparkling wine house in the Carneros region of Sonoma, our portfolio was vastly expanding in my direction.

I have been immensely impressed with Gloria Ferrer, especially their Sonoma Brut and their Blanc de Noirs. I also love their story. You might be surprised to learn that the winery actually started in a trailer. They were also the first to plant Champagne clones in the region. And they were not new to wine. The Ferrer family had been growing grapes and making wine in Spain since the 1500’s.

With over 30 growing seasons, Gloria Ferrer Caves and Vineyards is best known for their high quality, affordable luxury sparkling wines like their Sonoma Brut and the Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs. The Sonoma Brut is dominated by Pinot Noir, (86% Pinot Noir, 14% Chardonnay) this very rich and vibrant sparkler with a slight blush is hand harvested, whole cluster pressed and aged for a minimum of 18 months in the Gloria Ferrer caves prior to being disgorged. The Wine Spectator awarded the wine 91 points.

The Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs was given 90 points by the Wine Enthusiast and is also 100% hand harvested and whole cluster pressed and boasts over 90% Pinot noir sourced primarily from the 335 acre estate.

Gloria Ferrer has received over 500 Gold Medals, fifty 90+ ratings and enjoys a huge fan base; both consumers and critics.
