Unpack the Mystery
Mysteriously inviting, the updated Sixth Sense package welcomes you to explore the oddities and refined complexities of this dark, spice-laden wine. A brighter palette, new print techniques, and foiling give the brand a playful, upscale twist, adding texture and eye appeal for a wine built on mystery.
A claimed favorite of both Michael and David Phillips, Syrah was first planted by the brothers after they fell in love with the grape on a trip through southern France. The vineyard sits on the Michael David winery property, one of the earliest plantings of Syrah in California, still producing exceptional fruit for this wine today.
One of California's earliest Syrah plantings, still on the family's own ground.
Six Generations, One Name on the Bottle
The Phillips family has farmed the rich soils of Lodi for six generations. Brothers Michael and David are fifth-generation growers, and the sixth generation has already joined the business.
This Syrah vineyard was one of the first that Michael's son Kevin tended as Vineyard Manager, carrying the family's grape-growing tradition into its next chapter. The next generation quite literally grew up on this wine.
Dark, Velvety, Spice-Laden
A glimpse into Michael and David's cabinet of curiosities: deep ruby in the glass, with layered aromas of blackberry compote, espresso grounds and toasted vanilla.
Velvety and full-bodied: boysenberry, Mission Fig and dark chocolate carry to a long, captivating finish.
Syrah anchored with a splash of Petite Sirah for depth and structure, aged in oak for a rounded, plush texture.
A fruit-forward, crowd-pleasing Syrah that punches above its weight on a by-the-glass list: approachable for guests, easy for staff to describe.
Pairs with: Grilled meats · Braises · Charcuterie · Aged cheeses.
